The Daily Illini
“The Daily Illini, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign’s independent student newspaper, is respected as one of the best college newspapers in the country, regularly garnering national recognition, such as the Columbia Scholastic Press Association Gold and Silver Crown awards and the Associated College Press Pacemaker award,” states the Illini Media Company, the parent company of The Daily Illini.
I spent more then a year from, Jan. 2003 to May 2004, working for the Daily Ilinni. In that time, much like my expierence on Mygamer.com, I never stopped reporting and writing, even when promoted to higher positions then metro reporter. I wrote about 35-40 articles on a range of topics, including technology feature stories, opinion peices, university and local events.
